Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Anderson Electrical Trade Ltd, we aim to dispatch and deliver all orders as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Please read the following delivery information carefully before placing your order.


Dispatch Times

Orders are normally processed and dispatched during standard business hours, Monday to Friday.

Estimated dispatch and delivery times provided on our website, by email, or by telephone are approximate only and cannot be guaranteed.

Dispatch times may vary depending on:

  • Product availability;
  • Supplier lead times;
  • Order volume;
  • Seasonal demand;
  • Bank holidays;
  • Courier capacity.

Delivery Times

While we make every effort to meet estimated delivery dates, delays can occasionally occur due to circumstances outside of our control, including:

  • Courier delays;
  • Traffic or weather disruption;
  • Customs clearance;
  • Supplier shortages;
  • Industrial action;
  • Remote delivery locations;
  • Other unforeseen circumstances.

We shall not be liable for any loss, costs, damages, or inconvenience caused by delayed deliveries.


Delivery Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

  • Delivery information is accurate;
  • Someone is available to receive the goods where required;
  • Suitable access is available for delivery vehicles.

Additional charges may apply if:

  • Incorrect delivery details are supplied;
  • Delivery access is restricted;
  • Failed delivery attempts occur.

Missed Deliveries & Uncollected Goods

If:

  • The premises are unattended;
  • Delivery is refused;
  • Goods are not collected from a courier depot, parcel shop, collection point, or post office within the required timeframe;

and the goods are subsequently returned to us, we reserve the right to charge additional shipping or re-delivery costs before the goods are resent.


Large, Heavy & Specialist Deliveries

Some products may require:

  • Kerbside delivery;
  • Pallet delivery;
  • Two-person delivery teams;
  • Specialist unloading equipment.

Customers are responsible for ensuring adequate access and assistance where necessary.

Failed deliveries due to access restrictions may incur additional charges.


International Deliveries

We ship to selected international destinations.

Customers outside the United Kingdom are responsible for:

  • Import duties;
  • Customs charges;
  • Local taxes;
  • VAT;
  • Clearance fees;
  • Any other charges imposed by the destination country.

These charges are not included unless explicitly stated.

If customs charges or import duties are refused or unpaid and the goods are returned to us:

  • Re-delivery shipping costs must be paid again before goods can be resent; or
  • Refunds will be issued less:
    • Original delivery charges;
    • Return shipping charges;
    • Customs charges;
    • Handling fees;
    • Any additional costs incurred.

Delivery Damage, Shortages & Incorrect Goods

Customers must inspect goods immediately upon delivery.

Any:

  • Transit damage;
  • Missing items;
  • Shortages;
  • Incorrect goods supplied;

must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery.

Where possible, any visible damage should also be noted with the courier at the time of delivery.

Failure to report issues within this timeframe may affect our ability to resolve the claim.


Risk & Ownership

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery.

Ownership of goods remains with Anderson Electrical Trade Ltd until full payment has been received.
